Needhams Point

At the extreme southwestern tip of the island of Barbados lies the historic region of Needham's Point. It is in this area, appreciated by the local population and travelers from around the world, where you will be able to choose between three paradise beaches; Pebbles Beach, Drill Hall Beach and Needham's Point.

With their crystal clear waters and white sand beaches it is an ideal location for visitors seeking tranquility and those who want to explore the breathtaking wildlife by scuba diving and snorkeling.

There are nearly three distinct beaches surrounding the point - the northernmost is commonly referred to by locals as Pebbles Beach. To the south is the area of Drill Hall Beach. Amid is probably the most beautiful beach of all - the Needham’s Point beach itself. 

This is perhaps the most enchanting beach of all. You will find a reef giving the impression of being sculpt like a natural pool in the ocean! Be sure to also stop by the Barbados Hilton Hotel to see the historic Needham’s Point Lighthouse – one of the oldest in Barbados.

Pebbles waters are very calm and quietly lap on the white sand making it an ideal place to enjoy the sea. Overlooking the beach, the Pier 1 Restaurant of the Grand Barbados Hotel is a wonderfull spot to have lunch and will provide a warm atmosphere convenient for socializing with friends, family or business associates.

The sea at Drill Hall is more lively and this is a good place to learn how to do bodyboarding or light surfing. The beaches also have a reputation for having many small natural pools that are ideal for young children who want to splash around!
